Packaged rice combos can have a lot of sodium. Make your own rice combo. I cooked 1/2 cup dry wild rice with 1/2 cup dry organic brown basmati rice. The cooking time was only five minutes difference so I made them both in the same sauce pan. I used a no salt spice mix for flavor, one of my favorites is 21 seasoning salute. Add steamed vegetables and some plant based protein and you have a meal in less than ten minutes. Remember a serving of rice is only half a cup of cooked rice. Freeze for up to six months or many sources say it will keep in the refrigerator for three days in an air tight container.
