Healthy Baking Tip

The picture is of a modified cranberry bread.  It called for half white and half whole wheat flour.  Remember some whole wheat flours are processed.  Try to buy whole wheat that has all the edible parts of the grain, including the bran, germ, and endosperm.  I used only a stone ground flour that contained all of these and had 6 grams of protein per serving.  I also used half the sugar and butter.  Would I serve this to company?  Maybe not.  It was a coarse bread and not as sweet as most people would like.  For your friends and family that are used to less sugar and less fat perfection!
