Salad Tips

SALADS

I just had a pizza with kimchee, carrots and sesame seeds.  Salad possibilities are also endless.  Add fruits in the summer like strawberries, blueberries, mango, peach or kiwi.  A home made lime dressing goes well with fruits.  Leftover extra roasted veggetables often go in my salads.  Also herbs from my garden like parsley, chives, cilantro or basil.  As a kid (on the rare occasions we went out to eat) salads always had croutons.  I loved them.  For variety in my salads I also still like something crunchy.  I now use sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, pecans, walnuts and put smallers seeds like chia or sesame in dressing.  Above pictured is crumbled up healthy seed crackers.  Some of the newer seed crackers have no oil added for a healthier processed food.  I use extra virgin olive oil to make my own dressings so get some good fats from that source.
